Revolutionizing Workspace: Dang Ming's E-Commerce Company Office

Creating a Futuristic, Artistic, and Flexible Office Space

Dang Ming's inspiration for the office design was largely driven by the color palette. White, the dominant tone, is used to distinguish different volumes in various scenes. The dynamic red hue enlivens the spaces and creates dramatic visual effects, while other hues like pink are used to coordinate the ambiance. The combination of these colors shapes the overall spatial form, providing a unique and vibrant workspace.

The office's unique properties lie in its two eye-catching cylindrical structures in the reception foyer, functioning as a waiting area and reading area. These structures, with their white exteriors and red interior finishes, exude a futuristic and stylish form. The simplistic furnishings, furniture, and green plants make the space comfortable and tasteful.

The design was realized using materials such as Bolon floor, Milliken carpet, and Kvadrat cloth. The project, which spans 650 square meters, started in August 2018 and was completed in April 2019. The design team, including Xie Xu, Ao Qingge, Wang Qing, Yan Zhen, and Wang Haichuan, worked alongside Dang Ming to bring this innovative workspace to life.

Unlike traditional companies, the client, an e-commerce firm, required a workspace with greater flexibility and fewer fixed workstations. In response, the design team created several independent functional areas that can form a large holistic gathering space when combined. The workspace design, which provides quality socializing environment and hardware and software services, is expected to set a trend for future office spaces.

The design faced challenges due to the client's unique requirements. However, the team successfully overcame these by creating a multi-layered workspace based on the color theory of Le Corbusier. The result is an open, free, and artistic workspace that allows employees to find an appropriate working environment at any time.

This innovative design has not gone unnoticed. It was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2021, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation. The award recognizes top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
